- Never wire funds via Western Union, Moneygram or any other wire service.
- Always deal locally with people you can meet in person
- Avoid properties with significantly lower rent then comparable properties
- Beware of property managers operating outside of Canada

Recognizing Email Scams |

- Are there a lot of misspelled words in the email?
- Does the email reference another person or agent?
- Does the email reference wanting to move in sight unseen?
- Does the person offer to send you a money order and then have you wire money?
